Paul initially trained as a fine artist and was a successful self-employed illustrator and music journalist for 15 years. Having acupuncture was a life changing experience for Paul and he decided to retrain as an acupuncturist and herbalist at LCTA. A previous co-owner of the Oasis Health Clinic in London's Covent Garden, her is now in private practice in Surrey. Paul runs the Point Location unit on LCTA's BSc Acupuncture course as well as supervising in their teaching clinic.
Tessa Whittaker LicAc, MBAcC
Point Location Tutor
Tessa originally worked with and rode horses. She was encouraged to study Chinese medicine by her Shiatsu teacher and came to LCTA to learn acupuncture. Throughout her time at the College, Tessa also learnt yoga and intuitive movement - a freedom of expression that is now part of her everyday life. She now works with the Parkinson's Recovery Project using yin tui na and visualization techniques on unmedicated Parkinson;s patients. Her riding background has inspired her to explore the use of Chinese medicine in the equestrian field, particularly Five Element riding and training techniques.
